Man Arrested on EasyJet Flight After Allah Akbar Outburst

A 41-year-old man was arrested on Sunday morning following a serious disturbance aboard an easyJet flight travelling from London Luton Airport to Glasgow.

The aircraft, flight EZY609, landed at Glasgow Airport at approximately 8.20am, where it was met by police officers who removed the suspect from the plane. The man remains in custody as investigations continue.

Footage circulating online appears to show the individual shouting alarming phrases including “bomb”, “death to America, death to Trump”, and “Allahu Akbar” – an Arabic expression meaning “God is greater”. The video also shows two men tackling the suspect to the ground and restraining him on the aircraft floor.

Police Scotland investigating easyJet flight incident

Police Scotland confirmed the arrest and stated that counter-terrorism officers are currently assessing the footage. A spokesperson for the force said: “At this time we believe the incident was contained and that nobody else was involved. We are aware of videos circulating online and these are being assessed by counter-terrorism officers.”

The timing of the incident coincides with a private visit to Scotland by US President Donald Trump, although authorities have not indicated any direct connection between the two events.

EasyJet prioritises safety after Glasgow airport arrest

An easyJet spokesperson commented on the situation, saying:

“Flight EZY609 from Luton to Glasgow yesterday was met by police on arrival in Glasgow, where they boarded the aircraft and removed a passenger due to their behaviour on board.
“EasyJet’s crew are trained to assess all situations and act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other customers is not compromised at any time.

Nigerian airplane crash-lands at international airport

Legit.ng earlier reported that a Max Air flight from Lagos crash-landed at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport on Tuesday at 10:57 p.m.

A passenger confirmed that the aircraft lost its nose landing gear tyre upon touchdown, causing it to burst into flames before the plane skidded to a stop.

According to Dailytrust, emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, and all passengers were safely evacuated. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
