The summer transfer window is officially closed, but it remains uncertain where Nigerian striker Ademola Lookman will be playing this season.
Reports have it that Turkish club Galatasaray are monitoring the player's situation and could deploy the same tactic used to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
The Super Lig champions are interested in the 27-year-old, who remains in Italy despite handing Atalanta his transfer request.

Lookman has developed into one of Europe’s most dangerous forwards in the last three seasons.
Reports from Rudi Galetti suggest that Galatasaray are still active in the transfer market as the window in Turkey remains open until Sunday, 12th September.
It is believed that Serie A clubs can no longer sign players after Monday evening; they will still be able to sell to divisions whose windows remain open.
Ademola Lookman's relationship with Atalanta became complicated after the club turned down a €45million bid from rival club Inter Milan.
It led the player to release a statement on social media, saying he had already handed in a transfer request.
He accused his employers of broken promises and poor treatment as he was desperate to leave the team, per Football Italia.
Lookman disclosed that there was an agreement for the club to let him leave as soon as an appropriate offer is received.
It was gathered that Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi also confirmed the development, where he has been training alone while waiting for transfer updates.
Sources say he has since returned to Atalanta, but has continued to train individually.
Recall that Galatasaray used a late strategy to sign Osimhen from Napoli last year after deadline day negotiations with Al-Ahli and Chelsea collapsed.
Atalanta reject Bayern's offer for Lookman
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich's effort to sign Werder Bremen striker Nick Woltemade failed after the forward opted to join Newcastle United.
The German champions then shifted their attention to Jackson, reaching an agreement for the Chelsea man.
With time running out, Bayern Munich switched focus to Lookman, submitting a loan offer with a significant fee and an option to buy the Nigerian winger

Despite Bayern Munich’s efforts to sign Lookman, Atalanta wasted no time in rejecting the proposal.
EPL look to sign Ademola Lookman
Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester City turned their attention to Ademola Lookman after their unimpressive performance against Tottenham on Saturday, August 28.
Despite the presence of new signings Tijjani Reijnder, Omar Marmoush, and Erling Haaland, the one-time UEFA Champions League winners failed to find the back of the net and look to sign Lookman to bolster their attack.
