English Premier League Club Announce Signing of Super Eagles Striker in £24M Deal
- Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of Nigerian international Tolu Arokodare from Belgian club Genk

- Tolu scored 21 league goals in 40 matches, so is expected to strengthen Wolves' attacking options in the 2025/26 top flight league and beyond
English Premier League club Wolverhampton have confirmed the signing of Nigerian international Tolu Arokodare, hours before the close of the summer transfer window.
He attracted interest from several top clubs in Europe following his impressive performance for Belgian outfit Genk.
He won the Golden Boot in the Jupiler Pro League last season after scoring 21 league goals in 40 matches, BBC reports.

The 24-year-old earlier shared an emotional farewell statement, paying tribute to the Belgian outfit as he moves to the English Premier League.
Arokodare wrote on X:
"After two years with this club and amazing fans, it’s time for me to take the next step in my career.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank every single teammate, coach and supporter who has been with me on this journey and helped me while I’ve been here."
Wolves unveil Arokodare
Wolverhampton Wanderers have unveiled the star, confirming the deal, which was reportedly completed for £24 million.
The lanky Nigerian international put pen to paper on a four-year deal at Molineux.
Having lost their opening three games, Wolves are currently bottom of the Premier League table. So, the arrival of Arokodare will help bolster their attack as he will offer support in attack for Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Wolves posted the announcement on Instagram:
Wolves rejected bids of £50m and £55m for him last week, and the Norwegian was on the scoresheet against Newcastle United.

He has played five times for Genk this season, scoring once. He was unveiled on Monday, and footage was shared on the club's social media handles with the caption "It’s Tolu time."
The club said in a statement:
"The 24-year-old moves to Molineux fresh from claiming the Belgian Pro League Golden Boot last term, having struck 21 times in the league and on 23 occasions in all competitions.
"The 6ft 6in attacker played his youth football in his home nation and first arrived in Europe with Latvian side Valmiera in 2019, playing regular football at the age of 18 and showing an early eye for goal with 22 in 34 matches."
Nigerians have also taken to social media to congratulate the forward.

Tani Oluwaseyi joins Villarreal
Legit.ng earlier reported that Impressive striker Tanitoluwa Oluwatimilehin Oluwaseyi has signed a five-year deal with Villarreal, after four seasons with MLS outfit Minnesota United.
He joined the La Liga outfit for an initial fee of around €6.5 million with an additional €3 million in potential add-ons.
