German club Eintracht Frankfurt are celebrating yet another anniversary of Jay Jay Okocha's iconic goal against the legendary Oliver Kahn.

On August 31, 1993, Okocha scored the stunner against the world's best goalkeeper at the time, during a Bundesliga match between Eintracht Frankfurt and Karlsruher SC at the Wildparkstadion.

Eintracht Frankfurt won the tie 3-1, but the Nigerian football star stole the spotlight, having mesmerised the entire opposition defence.

Frankfurt were on a counter and the ball found its way to Okocha, who only needed to slot past Kahn in goal.

However, dramatically, the mercurial midfielder pretended he wanted to strike, but he pulled back, raced to beat three defenders, cut back, attempted it again before finding the back of the net, per Bundesliga.

The entire stadium went into raptures, while the African player raced towards the corner flag to celebrate.

The goal announced him to the world, and he immediately attracted interest from several top clubs before opting to join French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

On the 32nd anniversary of the incredible goal, Frankfurt shared the footage on their official social media handle with the caption:

"We're never getting tired of this goal. On this day in 1993, Jay-Jay Okocha was putting on a show."

Meanwhile, Okocha admitted that the goal made him famous both in and outside Germany. He told Kicker:

"That goal changed my life and made me famous. Outside of Germany, too, because it caused a lot of publicity.

"To be honest, I didn't plan on holding the ball that long! But whenever I looked up to shoot I saw someone in front of me.
"So I kept dribbling until I saw a gap. It took longer than planned, but in the end I was overjoyed when the ball was in the net. That was the best goal of my career."

Meanwhile, fans have taken to the comment section to react. _teequay said:

Okocha speaks on relationship with Ronaldinho

Legit.ng earlier reported that former Nigerian international Austin Jay Jay Okocha has disclosed that Brazilian football star Ronaldinho saw him as his 'senior brother'.

The pair are regarded as two of the greatest dribblers who have ever played football, and they shared the same dressing room at French club Paris Saint-Germain between 2001 and 2003.
