Manchester United earned their first Premier League win after beating visitors Burnley 3-2 at Old Trafford on Saturday evening, August 30.

Bruno Fernandes converted a 90+7-minute controversial penalty to give the Red Devils three points.

In the 27th minute, Manchester United took the lead following an own goal from Burnley's Josh Cullen.

The visitors got an equaliser in the 55th minute through Lyle Foster after the host lost Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount to injuries.

Two minutes later, the villain against Grimsby Town, Bryan Mbeumo gave United the lead after a driving run from Diogo Dalot but Jaidon Anthony levelled up in the 66th minute after goalkeeper Altay Bayindir had failed to catch or punch away a strike, per Goal.

Veteran Sports Journalist Godwin Enakhena believes the Manchester United job is bigger than Ruben Amorim.
