The Nigerian star was also part of the squad that won the FA Cup four times, in 2006–07, 2008–09, 2009–10, and 2011–12.

He won two League Cups, the UEFA Champions League, the Europa League title and a host of others.

Only recently, quotes attributed to him went viral on the internet. He allegedly said via a Facebook Post:

"Toni Kroos is just an average midfielder. To be honest, I was a better player than him. The only difference is I didn’t play for Real Madrid.
"I think we need to change the mindset that if you play for Real Madrid, you’re automatically seen as better than others."
"When you see that players like Kroos, Nacho, Carvajal and Modric won 6 trophies of the UCL it is a bit unfair, because these players are not even close to being the best in their positions.
"This shows that trophies can be misleading. I can name 10 players in the same positions that are better than these footballers."
