Nigeria international Victor Boniface has been active on social media since his deal with AC Milan failed to materialise.

From pranking unsuspecting young ladies during a matchmaking session to gifting a young entrepreneur N200,000 on TikTok.

The Super Eagles star also caught the attention of social media users after declaring his intentions to attend the Geh Geh University of Wisdom and Understanding.

Why Boniface's move to Milan stalled?

Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface was on the verge of joining the Italian club AC Milan; however, the transfer collapsed due to failed medicals.

A verbal deal had already been agreed upon, with a €5 million loan fee and a €24 million buy option, and he was in the city for tests.

Before his arrival in Milano, an Italian newspaper had published the injury details of the Nigerian forward, which affected his deal.

Boniface has suffered six different types of injury in his career, which has resulted in a total of 127 matches missed for club and country, per Transfermarkt.

Boniface shifts focus to Nigeria

Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface has declared his intentions of establishing a football academy in Nigeria, and was seen on X:

In a post on Instagram, the 24-year-old specifically mentioned that the academy would be situated in Akure, Ondo state. He wrote:

"Opening a football academy in Akure. Watch out soon."

Boniface had earlier spoken of his intention to host a football tournament in Akure at the end of the 2024/25 which failed to happen. He said:

Boniface is about to empower the youths - Lamidi

Veteran sports journalist Kehinde Lamidi said the proposed football academy by Victor Boniface would take youth off the streets.

Speaking in an exclusive comment with Legit.ng, Lamidi said the people of Ondo State are eager to welcome the academy. He said:

"I am happy with the current initiative of Victor Boniface. The academy will go a long way in curbing crime and serve as a pool for talents to be discovered.

Umar buys football club

Legit.ng earlier reported that Super Eagles star Sadiq Umar, in partnership with a House of Representatives member (Kaduna North), Bello El-Rufai, has officially taken over the leadership of Ranchers Bees.

The former Almería star explained that he grew up watching the team, which has produced numerous stars who have represented Nigeria at various continental and international competitions.
