Chiamaka Nnadozie has shared her concerns about the ongoing pre-season training by her new club, Brighton & Hove Albion.

The former Rivers Angels star received a heroic welcome from her club, with her teammates and staff giving her a standing ovation.

The Super Falcons goalkeeper joined the English club from the French side Paris FC after her contract expired on July 1.

Nnadozie's performance at the 13th Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco gave her a nomination for the upcoming Ballon d'Or ceremony.

Nnadozie laments tiring pre-season

Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has opened up about the exhausting pre-season matches embarked on by her new club side.

In a viral tweet on X, the 2024 WAFCON winner explained that she would proceed to her place of worship to give a special thanksgiving if she survives the week.

The Women's Africa Best Goalkeeper said her previous teammates who played in England failed to notify her about some of the challenges in the English League. She wrote:

"At this point, Una need to go find another person wey go make una proud oo because me l don tire.. which kind pre season be this naa 😂😂not even funny jare.
"If I survive this week, straight to thanksgiving. People wey play for this England before, una no give me the full."

Chiamaka Nnadozie's first appearance in Brighton colours. She was in goal in Brighton's 5-0 win against Crystal Palace on August 15.

Former Nigeria U20 star Chiamaka Nnadozie played a crucial role in Paris FC lifting the Coupe de France last season.

According to soccerdonna, the 24-year-old guided her team to qualify for the 2023/24 Champions League through her saves in the play-offs against Wolfsburg.

She also made 16 European appearances for Paris FC between 2002 and 2025 after joining from NWPL champions Rivers Angels.
