French giants Paris Saint-Germain have paid a heartfelt tribute to their club legend Jay Jay Okocha, who was on a tour to Rwanda as part of the Visit Rwanda campaign.

The French outfit shared a special video message featuring the mercurial midfielder and ex-star Didier Domi.

The post captured the duo in PSG colours, as they expressed excitement about their visit, while they discussed business opportunities.

The tribute celebrated Okocha’s legacy at the club, where he left an indelible mark from 1998 to 2002.

He arrived at PSG in 1998 for a then-record £14 million, making him the most expensive African player in football history at the time.

Over four years, he played 84 matches, scored 12 goals, and wowed fans with his dazzling dribbles and creativity.

Okocha became a fan favourite at the Parc des Princes, where he showed off incredible trickery and sensational passes.

The former Fenerbahce of Turkey star also mentored young Ronaldinho, who arrived at the French capital in 2001, per TNT.

He was said to have guided the Brazilian star in adapting to European football, fostering a partnership that produced moments of “magic,” as described by Domi, who recalled their artistry in training.

Okocha and Domi engaged in activities like visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial and coaching at the PSG Academy Rwanda, where they reinforced the club’s partnership with Rwanda, which has now been extended until 2028. The club wrote on Instagram:

"The best memories of our #PSGlegends in Rwanda @official_jj10 & Didier Domi."

Meanwhile, Okocha recently detailed his first encounter with Argentine football legend and multiple Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi.

He shared a Facebook post on his Instagram Story, quoting him as saying:

"I was shocked because he recognised me. He called me by my name: 'Hello Jay!' I said: 'Hello Messi,' then I turned to Suarez, who was with him to translate, and asked him: 'I didn't play in his generation, how does he remember me?.
"Messi answered me himself before translating: 'I know you well. I watched you play with Ronaldinho in Paris. You were a real star, and Ronaldinho himself loved you and talked about you in Barcelona!'
"Then I said to Suarez: 'Take a picture of me with the legend!' Messi replied: 'Take a picture of me with the legend on your phone too!'"

Westerhof reunites with Okocha
