Governor Aiyedatiwa also extended his generosity to the team’s media officer, Mary Akinsola, and team secretary, Mary Oduboku, who are both indigenes of Ondo State.
Each received a cash reward of ₦15 million for their contribution to the team’s continental triumph.

The President’s reward, combined with the Ondo State Governor’s ₦30 million gift and apartment, marks a historic moment for the defender, who has risen through the ranks from the youth team to the Super Falcons.
The series of rewards reflects the growing recognition of Nigerian women’s footballers, who have often been the nation’s most consistent representatives on the global stage.
For Demehin, this week has been a life-changing one, highlighting the new culture of celebrating sports excellence across Nigeria.
Other States join in celebrating Super Falcons players
Beyond Ondo State, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma also held a grand homecoming ceremony in Owerri to honour the Super Falcons players of Imo origin, per The Nation.
During the event at the Government House Banquet Hall, he announced a ₦30 million cash gift and a plot of land in a prime Owerri location for each of the seven players and one team official from the state.
The Imo-born stars honoured include Chiamaka Nnadozie, Jennifer Echegini, Tochukwu Oluchi, Chinwendu Ihezuo, Osinachi Ohale, Michelle Alozie, and Ifeoma Onumonu.
Their dedication and resilience during the WAFCON played a significant role in Nigeria’s latest victory in women’s football.
While Demehin and some of her other teammates continue to bask in the WAFCON victory by receiving extra rewards, fans are expecting other state governors to tow the same line as the Ondo and Imo state governors.
