UFC fighter Isreal Adesanya has reacted to reports that he received a huge compensation from his girlfriend after she dragged him to court over his fortune.

In March 2025, viral reports say that Powdrell dragged Adesanya to court, demanding half of his estimated $15 million (about NGN23 billion) net worth.

It was alleged that the player's finances were managed by his mother, so the court found his personal net worth to be negligible.

In a reverse judgment via Business Day, the court reportedly found Powdrell culpable and ordered her to split her assets, resulting in a $500,000 (about NGN678 million) payment to Adesanya.

Meanwhile, Adesanya has reacted to the purported claim, branding it as 'fake news'. He said, in a viral clip on X:

"For me, I don't like talking about it because if I say something, it gves it life.
"She never asked for fame. I prepared for this life. I try to let her know that you don't want to be in the spotlight because I prepared for this.
