Wike Throws Big Challenge at El-Rufai: "He Failed in This Mathematics"

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has tackled the immediate past governor of Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai, over his comment that President Bola Tinubu will emerge third in the 2023 presidential election.
El-Rufai, in an earlier interview, made the claim about the chances of President Tinubu in the 2027 general election, but the FCT minister, in his reaction, challenged the former Kaduna governor to name those who will emerge first and second in the 2027 presidential election.

Wike, who is a minister under President Tinubu, has explained that El-Rufai is his friend, but insisted that the former governor "failed in this mathematics." The FCT Minister said El-Rufai "goofed; since he knows Tinubu will come third, he should also provide who will be first and second."
El-Rufai was a former ally of President Tinubu and was a strong voice in the election of the ruling APC in the 2023 elections. His ministerial appointment was rejected by the Senate when Tinubu nominated him and forwarded his name to the national assembly.

University of Port Harcourt has honoured Wike
Legit.ng earlier reported that FCT minister Nyesom Wike is trending online after a video captured the moment he received an Honorary Doctor of Science degree from the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT).
In a video that has gone viral, Wike, a former governor of Rivers state, danced joyfully and appreciated God after his conferment.
Lere Olayinka, an aide to the FCT minister, shared photos and videos of Wike celebrating the milestone with his friends and supporters, including the governor of Adamawa state.
