Daniel accuses Abiodun of witch-hunting him

This came days after Daniel accused Governor Dapo Abiodun of allegedly ordering the demolition of his residence and hotels in the Sagamu area of the state. The Ogun state government has ordered the demolition of his private residence, the Asoludero Court, Conference Hotels Limited, and the hotel annexe in Sagamu.

Senator Daniel stated that the governor's order was conveyed through notices of contravention, quit, and threat of demolition, which were to be posted on the properties within the next three days, and were pasted on the properties on Friday, August 8, at approximately 4 pm.

Daniel’s media aide, Steve Oliyide, disclosed this in a statement signed on Saturday, August 9, 2025. He said the move to demolish his properties is clear political persecution. He added that the allegations levelled against him are deeply rooted in a thuggish and political vindictiveness at its highest level.
