A brilliant Nigerian girl, Kenechukwu Oluwanifemi Uba, was celebrated after winning a prestigious English award in Cambridge.

She emerged as the "Top in World" candidate in the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) English exam.

A report by Punch revealed that Uba emerged as the top candidate in the November 2024 Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language (Speaking Endorsement).

The intelligent girl is a pupil of Caleb British International School, Magodo, Lagos, and as a reward for her performance, she received the Outstanding Cambridge Learners Award.

The prestigious award was recognised by Cambridge University Press & Assessment, which partnered with the British Council to organise a ceremony in Lagos, where Uba received her award.

A statement by the school revealed that the girl's certificate of award was signed by the Group Managing Director of International Education at Cambridge, Rod Smith.

Caleb British International School celebrates intelligent girl

The Proprietor and Chief Executive Officer of Caleb Group of Schools and University, Dr. Oladega Adebogun, celebrated the girl's achievement.

He expressed his joy concerning her award, stating that the achievement reflected the school's core values.

SS2 student of CBIS celebrates passing UTME

Another student of the Caleb British International School celebrated passing the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and shared her score.

The SS2 student shared her success on TikTok, opening up about how she prepared for the examinations, despite being in a school that uses the British curriculum.

She said she started preparing for her 2025 UTME in late January, adding that she didn’t have a lesson teacher.
