Lady's unique Igbo name and its meaning
Tonia, in a TikTok video, stated her Igbo name and its meaning, noting that it is unique.
The Igbo lady narrated how she began identifying with the name Tonia.
While taking her common entrance in a secondary school, the receptionist settled on Tonia from her whole name, and she accepted it.
She said Tonia is on all her documents, but in primary school and at home, she is called by her Igbo name Chisimnulia, which means 'God said I should rejoice.' She said:
"To most of the people that know me today, my name is Tonia, and that's the name I go by online.
"But it wasn't even really by choice. When I was taking my common entrance for the secondary school I ended up going to, the receptionist looked at my whole name and just said Tonia.
"And I said, 'Oh, yes, Tonia. That's me.'
"And that's just how Tonia came about, and that was how I just went by Tonia from then on.
"Tonia is my first name on all my documentation, but in primary school and in my house, everyone calls me by my Igbo name, which is Nulia - short for Chisimnulia, which means 'God said I should rejoice.'
