Zainab Ladipo achieved the feat despite the fact that she had so many discouraging moments that would have made her quit.
In a series of videos seen on her Instagram account, Zainab recounted the challenges she faced during the cookathon.
According to her, the cooking marathon pushed her to the very brink of human existence.
However, she refused to stop cooking, as she prepared different types of dishes from different countries and cultures.
She said:
"This marathon has pushed me to the brink of human existence. But I'm so grateful for everyone that has supported me through this journey. All of you that beleived in my dream and my resilience, I want to say a big thank you."
In another post, Zainab said she officially turned off the cooking gas at 300 hours.
In an interview with CBC British Columbia, Zainab showed some of the food she made, including puff-puff.
She would now have to wait for the footage to be verified and certified by the Guinness World Records.
The previous cooking record is held by Evette Quoibia, who cooked for 140 hours in Australia in 2024.

"We've never done a study of sleep deprivation over 60 hours due to health concerns. However at that point: Hallucinations, extreme fatigue, disassociation, memory loss, euphoria and outbursts of extreme anger. To suggest that she's gone over 300 hours without sleep makes this whole thing super suspicious."
