In a TikTok video by @kanyinsola_a, the lady noted that the UK was too quiet and she missed the noise in Nigeria.

The lady said:

“You know what nobody tells you about moving to the UK? It is not the cold that hits first, it’s the silence. In Nigeria, life is loud. Those in Yaba, Oyingbo, and Idumota market pulling you left right and centre before you buy something.”

She also referenced people’s generators in Nigerian neighbourhoods, which added to the noise in Nigeria.

The lady added:

“Over here, it is quiet, almost too quiet. Sometimes, I miss hearing people argue in the buses over change palava. I didn’t realise how those little things were part of home until I left. The noise, the food, the randomness, name it. Now, seeing familiar faces feels like a luxury.”

She captioned the video:

“I miss everything about Nigeria literally! What do you miss?”

In the comments, she added:

“I miss Mommy’s food and care.”
