The throwback picture showed a much younger Oyedepo in the company of other youths, including the now General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

The picture of the content creator, however, appeared recent. One thing was common in both pictures: the content creator slightly resembled the younger Oyedepo and had the same hairline as him.

Mixed reactions trailed Andrea's post.

Why content creator stopped mimicking Oyedepo

In 2024, Son of The Prophet announced that he would no longer mimic Oyedepo, a character he took on, which made him popular on TikTok.

In a sit-down with comedian Teju Babyface, the Christian content creator shared why he stopped mimicking the bishop.

“A lot of people sent in messages saying I was creating curses for myself. They would ask, ‘Did Bishop David Oyedepo really approve this?’ Some messages would just break me.”
