To make matters worse, another company had already called her for a third-stage interview on the same day as the toilet one.

In order not to put all eggs in one basket, she had to make do with the toilet in a barbershop for the first interview while on her way to the second one, which was at the third stage.

Luckily, she got the job for which she had the interview in the toilet. She narrated:

"I once did a whole job interview...in a toilet.
"This company had the license to sponsor, so there was hope I could secure a visa. I wasn't going to miss this interview. Then, another company called me for a third-stage interview, also a big opportunity that I couldn't pass up and only one day available.
"So on my way to the third-stage interview, I looked for a nearby cafe to take the call cos the train station was so noisy. I had just 5 minutes to find a place. I couldn't find a library, coffeeshop. Nothing nearby.

"Then I found a barbershop, begged for a WiFi and a space...and the only place they had was the toilet. They offered and I took it graciously.
"So, there I was, balancing laptop on a tissue, balancing the tissue on the sink, praying the WiFi would hold, hoping no one would knock, and pouring everything I had into that interview.
"The lighting was bad. The sitting condition was bad. It wasn't glamorous. Physically, I felt pity for myself. The only thing alive in that moment was my commitment to secure a job that would sponsor my visa.
"When it was over, I shed a tear and whispered a prayer: I will go through this so that no one in my generation will ever have to.
"I still went on to do the third-stage interview, and later that night, exhausted and deep in thought about my life, the call came through. I got the toilet job."

I didn’t even have an idea I had an interview , I got a call from the HR who asked I checked my spam folder and to think I was in church at that exact time. So much noise everywhere, I couldn’t go to the canteen, I had to option for a drainage system which I sat close by and had my interview, guess what? I got the job and it has been bliss ever then."
