She, however, drew inspiration from her friend's warning and went back to the drawing board to fix all the things that could cause 'Nigeria to happen to her.'

According to her, she realised she needed to take control of the things she could control if she wanted to succeed, and that was when her vision became clear. In her words:

"In 2018, I returned to Nigeria to set up my skincare business. My mum looked at me and said, 'You better go back abroad. Don't come back.'
"My girlfriend Irene said, 'Ah, Kiki, Nigeria will happen to you.'
"But that was the best japada advice I ever received, because instead of ignoring it, I went back to the drawing board.
"I asked myself, 'What are the things that could frustrate me in Nigeria?' Electricity, insecurity, NAFDAC, raw materials, etc.
"I listed all of them. I realised that if I wanted to succeed, I had to take control, especially of the things that I could control, like my raw materials.

"Well done big sis for not getting encouraged when mama said "go back", sometimes we need to sacrifice / leave our comfort zone in order for that dreams to come alive."
