A violent altercation broke out in an examination hall at Niger Delta University in Bayelsa, as a lecturer clashed with a female student.

The incident was captured on video and shared on social media.

Punch reported that the clash between the lecturer and the female student was due to examination malpractice.

According to Gist Yentown, who also shared the clip, the undergraduate involved is a student of History and Diplomacy and clashed with the lecturer after he seized her phone.

In the clip, other invigilators on the scene tried to separate the warring parties, amid screams from other students taking the examination.

X user @Chudy_jnr, who shared the video on X, expressed his outrage at the student's behaviour. He claimed that the student had slapped the lecturer, torn his clothes, and even bitten his hand. According to @chudy_jnr, the altercation began when the lecturer asked the student to leave the hallway.
