Kaduna state, Nigeria - On Saturday, August 30, Vice President Kashim Shettima stormed Kaduna state for the wedding Fatiha of the children of Captain Junaid Abdullahi and Alh. Shehu Muazu (Iyan Katagum).
The wedding fatiha is being held at the Yahaya Road Juma'at Mosque, Ungwan Rimi, Kaduna.

Halima Amira Junaid is the granddaughter of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, while Walid Shehu Muazu, the groom, is the son of Iyan Katagum.
The spokesman/senior special assistant to the president on media & communications (office of the vice president), Stanley Nkwocha, confirmed this in a statement issued on Saturday, accompanied by a video.
"This is wishing the couple a most blissful marital life," the statement added.

Joined by the Deputy Chief of Staff, State House, Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, the Vice President was received at the airport by the Kaduna state governor, Senator Uba Sani and members of the Kaduna State Executive Council.
Also present are Hon. Usman Ali Zannah (member, Kaga/Gubio/Magumeri Federal Constituency), the Ministers for Transport and Environment, Senator Ahmed Sa'idu Alkali.

Recall that Buhari died on Sunday, 13 July 2025, in a London hospital after a prolonged illness.
Tributes continued to flood in for the former Nigerian leader, whom close acquaintances describe as a caring family man with a strong sense of humility. In an interview with BBC Hausa on Thursday, Aisha Hanan Buhari, one of Buhari's younger children, said losing her father was like losing a part of herself.
