“Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihirrajiun. My 3 kids and 2 nephews were supposed to be on this train and last minute we decided to send them by road,” he posted.
“There have been complaints about this train, but nothing has been done till it derailed today. May Nigeria not happen to us Ya Rabb!”
His remarks have drawn attention to longstanding concerns over the safety and reliability of Nigeria’s rail infrastructure.

The incident left several carriages overturned and triggering panic among those on board. It was gathered that the incident occurred along the popular corridor shortly after the train departed Abuja around 11 a.m., en route to Kaduna.
As reported by Arise News Media, one passenger described the scene as chaotic, with people scrambling to safety in fear and confusion. The cause of the derailment remains unclear as at the time of filling in this report. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident that caused chaos and stranded several passengers.
