The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has strongly denounced the involvement of Olakunle Alex Folarin, a dismissed staff member, in a matchmaking programme hosted on Lege Miami’s social media platforms.
Folarin, who previously served as a driver at the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the EFCC, was recently dismissed from the Commission following allegations of certificate forgery. Despite his termination, he appeared on a matchmaking programme, prompting swift condemnation from the anti-graft agency.

The Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Mr Ola Olukoyede, has reportedly ordered the arrest of Folarin for unlawfully retaining Commission property, including an official Identity Card. According to the EFCC, these items should have been surrendered immediately upon his dismissal.
The Commission stated:
“The public is advised against associating Folarin’s post-dismissal conduct with the EFCC.”
The EFCC emphasised that it remains committed to upholding integrity and transparency in its operations. It urged the public to disregard any representation of Folarin as an EFCC officer, warning that such mischaracterisation undermines the credibility of the Commission’s work.
