In his letter, Lawal narrated the struggles he has faced since completing his studies. He explained that the death of his father shortly after his graduation left him without financial support, forcing him into a cycle of hardship.
Despite repeated efforts to secure employment, he said he has remained jobless.
"Mr. President, I'm seriously worried. Most of the time, I can't get the food I'm going to eat," he wrote.
"Most of the time, my wife and I have one child, but I don't have money to pay for his school fees. Furthermore, the rent for the house I'm living in is past due, and I don't have money to renew it again."

"So I am requesting, Mr. President, that you buy me a house, give me a job, and assist me with something to start a business. Thank you, and may Allah reward you abundantly. Amen," he concluded.
