Tragedy as Lady Allegedly Stabs Boyfriend to Death for Cheating on Her

Okitipupa, Ondo state - Operatives of the Ondo state Police Command have arrested a lady identified as Augustina Mowari for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, Michael Ikuedowoni, to death.

The tragic incident occurred on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Okitipupa community, the headquarters of the Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state.

As reported by The Punch, Augustina allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death following an argument that ensued between them over the issue of infidelity.

The state police public relations officer (PRO), Olayinka Ayanlade, said the suspect is currently in custody.

Ayanlade disclosed that the police command had commenced an investigation into the matter.

“There was an argument between the two, which led to the suspect stabbing the victim with scissors. He later died in the hospital.
“The suspect is in our custody, and the case will be charged to court after investigations are concluded.”

According to a source, the two lovebirds who live together in a one-room apartment, had been having persistent issues over suspected cheating and trust for sometime.

The source said the suspect accused Michael of cheating on her with another woman.

The heated argument and misunderstanding between the lovers escalated into violence, and the lady allegedly stabbed the victim with a pair of scissors in the leg.

“Michael was initially taken to a nearby hospital, where he received treatment and was discharged after being administered injections and prescribed medication.

“After being discharged, his condition deteriorated at home. His leg became swollen, and he was rushed back to the hospital on Sunday night. Unfortunately, he passed away despite the doctors’ efforts to save him.”

Commercial sex worker stabs client to death

Recall that a 48-year-old man identified simply as Okafor was stabbed to death by a sex worker at Jakande Housing Estate in Lekki, Lagos.

The state police public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the sex worker, Joy Kelvin, was arrested.

According to Hundeyin, Okafor was rushed to the General Hospital, Marina, Lagos, where he was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty.

Man stabs pregnant wife to death in Lagos

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that another tragic incident occurred at Amazing Grace Estate, in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, as a 30-year-old man, Motunrayo Olaniyi, allegedly stabbed his pregnant wife, Olajumoke, to death following a heated argument.

The suspect reportedly locked his wife's body in their room and set it on fire, before inflicting wounds on himself.
