They both cleared the air on certain situations and made sure to keep their explanations as clear as possible.
Ortega was one of the brightest minds of the show. One could call him "the wise man of the season." He participated actively in tasks, and it was clear how far his contributions went. Out of curiosity, we wanted to know if he had always been this way or if he had to groom himself..

"So you know how curiosity can be a thing, right? Well, thank God I'm not, and I've always been a curious child. I've been very curious. I grew up with that curiosity and spent most of my time reading, studying, and searching for knowledge. I literally Google anything. I’ll study anything. Let me give you a typical example: one day, I was reading the Bible, and I came across the word 'Ephesians.' I noticed that everyone had a name, and I thought, 'What do people from Jericho call themselves?"
"The answer, of course, was 'Jerry cans.' So, I’ll go down the rabbit hole to find out, and that’s just how I am. It’s just the desire to learn. I love to learn. I live to learn. I feel like the moment I stop learning, I die. I’m open to learning from people, from anywhere I can find knowledge. If I see a school teaching something I like, I would go there and sit down. That’s who I am. So, it’s not about being forced, it’s just more about the desire to learn and being open to it."
A lot of people assume you make snide comments about Imisi, would you mind clearing their air on that:
"Well, again, it’s just random banter. You know, Imisi is such a great person. Don’t get me wrong, she is. I used to call her an onion because she has so many layers to her. It’s really sad that we didn’t connect more. I feel like if we met outside, we would have had a proper connection. But I mean, she's there, she's having fun, right?"
"So it wasn’t anything personal. I love her. She does my hair, so why would I be mad at her? I have no issue with her. She’s an amazing person. Don’t get me wrong, it was just a joke. Like, I didn’t mean it seriously, just kind of a Nigerian playful thing. Yeah, it wasn’t like, 'Oh, get out, I don’t want you here."

Ortega never hid his feelings towards Thelma. He found her intriguing, and told Ebuka on his eviction day that he would get to know her more outside. Legit.ng wanted to know if Ortega made this known to Thelma during his stay in the house.
"I mean, she’s my friend. But again, I can’t really speak for her. At this point, I’m just rooting for her to win. We’ve got six more weeks to go, I think. Yeah, so after those six weeks, stay tuned. We’ll know if there’s something real there or if it was just for the show."

How did you feel when Thelma picked Kayikunmi as her houseguest?
"I was like, this is my friend. I'm not entitled to what person belongs to me. If she wanted to, she could. I remember calling her to find out where I was, and she told me. So there was nothing despicable or anything to it."

My Sister and Her Husband Refused to Pay Back a Huge Debt — But Karma Hit Them Harder Than Ever
The altercation between Zita and Mide in the kitchen was one of the major highlights of the show. Ortega was right there in the kitchen when it happened. We wanted to hear his version, as there have been tons of narratives flying across social media.
Ortage said:
"My sisters and I have grown to understand what happened, and I think it happened so fast. It wasn’t brandishing any knife. So, Midi was chopping vegetables, and they were having a heated conversation. I think Midi was pointing, but she was holding a knife at the time. And if her hand hit Zita’s hand, the knife fell."
"She wasn’t trying to take it from her or brandish it. No, she was just holding it, and in fact, I think she was holding the knife in reverse. I can’t remember exactly, but she was talking to Zita about how she felt about what was said to her, and Zita reacted. It was nothing out of the ordinary. It wasn’t a brandishing moment. It wasn’t anything like that. I just stepped in, but I literally was just standing there watching. At the end of the day, there was nothing to be honest."
These questions marked the end of our time with Ortega, ushering us into another fun chapter with Kayikunmi, the "baby boy" of the season.
With Kayikunmi, there were a couple of dramatic moments. First, accepting to be Thelma’s house guest just 24 hours after his steamy moment with Isabella painted him in a bad light to the public and also stirred up tension with Isabella.
We wanted to know if it was an intentional move on his part.
So we asked him, do you want to share your thoughts on the major issues between Thelma and Isabella? I think it stemmed from you accepting to be Isabella's house guest when she became the interim Head of House. Do you want to explain that? Was there a reason you accepted, knowing you had already started something with Isabella, and knowing it might affect their relationship?
Kayikunmi said in his own words:
"Prior to the Head of House game, I had a conversation with me, she was looking out for me, telling me that I should put myself out there more in the coming week. She said I shouldn’t always be with Isabella and that I should focus on putting myself out there more. So, you know, after that conversation, she went out of the house, and to be honest, I didn’t expect her to pick me for Deputy Head of House. When she did, I was selfish."
"I didn’t think about Isabella’s feelings. I didn’t realize it was going to hurt her. I had already clarified that I wasn’t interested in her romantically, and I explained that it was just friendship—no feelings involved, just love and friendship from both sides. I honestly didn’t know Isabella would be hurt. I didn’t expect it to affect her the way it did."
"Even though we were already on bad terms, I didn’t realize the impact it would have. I think I spoke to her when I was still in the house and apologized. I genuinely didn’t do that to spite Isabella. I didn’t do it to make her feel bad or to prove anything. I just didn’t think about her feelings. I was selfish."
"I wanted to put myself out there more and let others see me for who Iam, beyond just my connection with Isabella. I didn’t always want it to be just about me and Isabella. I wanted others to know me for myself, to know what I stand for. That’s why I accepted. But yeah, we had the conversation, and I think we’ve moved past it."
So this is to say that you don't have feelings towards Thelma at all?
"Most definitely not."
