A few hours after Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, shared a voice note disclosing what happened between him and Mohbad, an old voice note of the late singer has surfaced online.
Many fans reacted after listening to Naira Marley’s comments about Mohbad’s finances and his exit from his former record label.

In the voice note trending online, Gabby, Naira Marley’s manager, was heard having an interview with Mohbad.
In the clip, the late singer mentioned that he was saving up to buy a car and a house with Naira Marley.
When Gabby asked whether Naira Marley had bought a car for him, Mohbad denied it, explaining that he had given Naira Marley N10 million, while his former record label boss contributed an additional N10 million.
He also clarified that he deliberately chose not to collect certain show payments from Naira Marley, so that the funds could go toward repaying the additional N10 million that had been contributed on his behalf.

Mohbad also mentioned that he was saving up to buy a house with Naira Marley. When Gabby asked about the money paid into Wunmi's mother’s account and Mohbad’s mother’s account, the late singer clarified that only N100k was paid into his mother’s account, but remained silent about Wunmi's mother’s account.
In the recording, he said he could send back the money and demanded his owed funds.
Mohbad speaks about his funds with Marley
In the recording, Mohbad further said he was owed N130 million by his former record label. He mentioned several shows he performed at where he was never paid, except for the ones that contributed to his car payment.
The late singer stressed that earnings from shows were separate from streaming revenue. He added that whenever he inquired about the funds, Naira Marley would pull out a notepad to show records. Mohbad insisted he never saw the actual money but only the documentation.
Gabby promised to look into the matter and ensure everything was resolved. Recall that several issues emerged following Mohbad’s death. This prompted VDM to investigate the matter.

Naira Marley slams actress over claim
