Legendary Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has declared Burna Boy as his number one artist at the moment.
The veteran singer made this revelation during a recent interview with Urban FM, Enugu, where he spoke about the new wave of Nigerian musicians dominating the industry.
For 2Baba, the Grammy winner isn’t just another successful artist, he is the standout name among today’s generation of Afrobeat stars.

He noted:
“On a personal level, Burna Boy is my number one. Although I still have other artists that I admire. But personally, as an artist, Burna Boy is my number one right now. Among all the others I am referring to, he is the senior.”
He added that while there are other artists rising fast and aiming for global heights, Burna has already set the standard with his music and achievements.
This is not the first time 2Baba has showered Burna Boy with accolades. In April 2024, he took to his social media page to describe the Grammy Award winner as one of the greatest music icons.
He stated:
“Call this my talk anything you like, this young man has worked and proven and stamped himself as one of the greatest music icons. Hate him or love him e no go change fact. Kudos to every one that is part of making this fact happen, Oluwa Burnafide.”

The award ceremony took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles in February 2024.
