The media celebrity said that at one point in her life, she was so depressed that she considered suiicide.

“I was depressed. It got so bad that I thought I was suicidal. I just left everything behind. I remember just walking on the express, hoping a car would hit me. It was that bad,” she said.

Morayo revealed her decision to leave Your View, saying that by the show's tenth anniversary, she understood it was time to move on.

“It was when we were 10 years old that I knew it was time to move on to the next thing. I’ve been harbouring that thought for a while, but I just didn’t know to what or where, you know. But I think last year, I got that light bulb moment,” she revealed.

She also described how she was fired from TVC owing to political reasons, but President Bola Ahmed Tinubu later revealed her identity to others.

“People now called Asiwaju, ‘Do you know whose child was sacked?’ He said, ‘I’m not aware.’ He said, ‘This is the Alao Aka-Bashorun’s daughter. That’s when he knew it was me,” she recalled.

The broadcaster addressed some of her most contentious issues, including her official support for Tinubu in the 2023 elections. She also said that her original critiques of former Anambra Governor Peter Obi sprang from a lack of understanding.

“It was because I did not know him. After I made that comment, people called me and said, ‘Morayo, do you realise that when he was governor, he actually served us?’ So that was him. I said, ‘Oh, I did not know,’” she confessed.

Another major scandal she discussed was the uproar that resulted from an on-air interview in which she was accused of calling her spouse a young offender. According to her, the First Lady's intervention assisted her in making amends and publicly apologising to her husband.

Her departure from Your View signalled the conclusion of a twelve-year adventure.

"Morayo Brown didn't know who Obi was, yet, due attacked him. Was she not supposed to be an impartial host who had done her research before engagements? Says so much about her 'host' duties. It is the reason she suffered many gaffes as host. Anyway, i will be hoping she has evolved in whatever new role she does."
