1. Peller gets physical with Jarvis

Popular Nigerian streamer Peller was recently seen shoving and hitting his lover, Jarvis, on the head while urging her to get into a car. The pair had reportedly gone on an outing, but Jarvis appeared uninterested in entering the vehicle despite Peller’s actions.

The incident drew heavy criticism online, with many fans slamming Peller for his attitude toward Jarvis. Others also advised Jarvis to leave the relationship and focus on her content creation.

This is not the first time the duo has faced backlash for violent content. A few months earlier, they were seen getting physical during a live stream after an argument escalated into a fistfight.

Critics also dragged their parents online, insisting that both Peller and Jarvis needed to be cautioned against projecting violence.

Girl-child advocate Just Adedotun condemned their behaviour, warning that such negative content could influence children. She threatened legal action if the pair did not desist from such public displays.

2. Peller backlashed for speaking in tongues

Peller also came under fire after a video of his visit to gospel singer Ebukasong surfaced online. During a live stream, the TikToker was seen singing a worship song and speaking in tongues.

His action drew strong condemnation, with Pastor Kesiena Esiri, founder of the Remnant Christian Network, blasting him as a “clown” who was mocking Christianity. The pastor also criticised Ebukasong for appearing live with Peller.

Pastor Esiri, who had previously rebuked the streamer and Jarvis over their relationship, described the pair as a bad influence on young people.

3. Peller dragged over funds for Jarvis’ surgery

In 2024, Peller went online to solicit N30 million from Nigerians to fund surgery for a tumour in Jarvis’ mouth.

Jarvis had earlier revealed in a video that her condition had forced her to stop pursuing her AI content niche.

Following her revelation, Peller launched a GoFundMe campaign. However, the streamer was criticised because he had just taken delivery of a new car around the same period.

A dentist also called him out, claiming that the actual cost of Jarvis’ surgery was far lower than the amount he requested from the public.

4. Peller criticised over 30 days rant challenge

When Nigerians launched the viral 30 Days Rant Challenge to air grievances about the state of the economy, Peller discouraged the trend.

He told his fans to take their rants to the market or Instagram instead.

His remarks angered many Nigerians, who dragged him online. As a result, he lost a significant number of followers on both TikTok and Instagram. The backlash eventually forced him to issue a public apology.

5. Peller blasted over N500k employment offer to a graduate

Peller again faced criticism after he revealed plans to employ a Master’s degree holder as his cameraman for a salary of N500,000.

A TVC presenter slammed the statement, saying it reflected his poor level of education. Many fans also questioned why highly qualified graduates would accept such a role, while others argued that Nigeria’s leadership and economic problems were forcing many into such desperate choices.
