He argued that many Nigerians tend to overhype money made from football, citing the likes of American music stars Jay Z and Rihanna's net worth compared to football stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Geh Geh also claimed that Afrobeats singers Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid are far ahead of Nigerian football star Mikel Obi, whom he claimed is the richest footballer in the country.

He added that musicians' fame lasts longer, arguing that footballers' popularity wanes after they retire.

"Musicians make more money than footballers. Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi are worth over 1 billion dollars, Jay Z is worth over 2.8 billion dollars, and Rihanna is worth over 1 billion. In Nigeria, Mikel Obi is worth 40 million to 45 million dollars, Wizkid is worth 50 million to 60 million dollars, Davido is worth 100 million dollars, and Burna Boy is worth 100 million. I love music fame more than football fame," he said in part.
