Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola recently caused a buzz on the social media space after she made some controversial statements about cheating during a podcast interview.
Bimbo, who was one of the lead cast members on Netflix crime series To Kill a Monkey, while speaking to her colleague Ayo Adesanya, who also doubled as the host, stated that the majority of Nigerian men were cheats.

According to the actress, infidelity was so deeply rooted in Nigerian culture that most men can’t escape it.
“The majority of our men cheat. Your father cheated, sir. Sorry, I’m sorry. Your grandfather did. Polygamy, polygamy. Yes, my father has two wives. Mine too.
I don’t know where this idea of fidelity came from in Africa. The reality is 90 to 99% of our men cheat, it’s ingrained in them. Some even grew up following their fathers to see girlfriends.”
