The drama surrounding the tragic death of Nigerian rapper, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, aka Mohbad, is far from over.
Hours after his ex-label boss, Naira Marley, sat down for a tell-it-all interview where he claimed innocence in the circumstances of the 27-year-old’s passing, Nigerians have dug up fresh evidence that paints a different picture.
In the interview, Marley denied ever bullying or threatening Mohbad, insisting that the media exaggerated their rift. But fans who have followed the late singer’s struggles were not convinced.

Shortly after the rapper's interview went viral, Mohbad’s supporters resurfaced a call recording the singer allegedly had with his then-manager Gabby, in 2022, after a violent fracas at the Marlian House.
In the audio, Mohbad admitted that he was the one who posted alarming tweets about his life being in danger.
Mohbad stated:
“I’m the one who wrote everything on my Twitter. I don’t like to talk because they will assume I’m high. I just want my peace.”

Naira Marley discusses his location at the time Mohbad died
Legit.ng earlier reported that Naira Marley recounted where he was when news broke that Mohbad had died.
According to the rapper, he was far from Lagos when his ex-signee gave up the ghost on September 12, 2023.
At first, he didn’t believe it. “I dismissed it, saying he was chasing clout to blow,” he added. But fellow artiste Zinoleesky quickly corrected him, urging him to take the news seriously. Moments later, Marley said he logged on to Instagram and saw that Mohbad’s death was being linked to an ear infection.
