The WhatsApp group chat, which included several notable Nigerian celebrities, was leaked by online activist VeryDarkMan, and its contents quickly went viral, sparking public scrutiny and intense speculation over the roles played by various figures in the conversation.

Angela exits WhatsApp group

The talented movie star, who recently apologised to Mercy Johnson after weeks of mercilessly dragging her online, took to her Instagram stories to address the situation, distancing herself from any involvement in gossip or campaigns targeting individuals.

She emphasised that she does not engage in activities that aim to bring others down, clarifying that she had removed herself from the controversial WhatsApp group once she realised the discussions did not align with her values.

According to Angela, she believes in fairness and integrity and chooses not to associate herself with damaging narratives or online drama.

Angela clarifies her jab wasn't at Iyabo

Reacting to assumptions that her posts were aimed at fellow actress Iyabo Ojo, Angela made a video to clarify the misunderstanding.

She explained that although many were quick to assume she was referring to Iyabo, the person in question was someone else entirely. She revealed that the woman who added her to the group later called to apologise privately for the damage she caused.

Angela noted that while the woman was remorseful in private, she failed to apologise publicly, which Angela viewed as insincere.

In the video, she expressed frustration at how her words were constantly being misinterpreted and used to create division.

Angela Okorie emphasised that the main concern should be seeking justice for Mohbad rather than fuelling unnecessary quarrels.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Samklef withdrew from the fight for justice for Mohbad, citing personal exhaustion and a lack of collective sincerity.
