  • Fans reflected on how far others from that viral 2019 arrest had gone compared to his current situation

Abubakar Isah, better known as Gucci Branch, is back in the spotlight, though not in the way he or anyone expected.

In 2019, he became popular after getting arrested alongside music stars Naira Marley, Zlatan, and nightlife figure Rahman Jago during a high-profile drug-related investigation.

That moment shot him into sudden fame. Social media users turned him into a sensation overnight. He even reportedly landed some influencer gigs, appearing in skits and music video cameos.

There’s no public record of what happened to him between his viral fame and this new phase of his life. Unlike his former associates, he seemingly disappeared from the influencer scene not long after the buzz faded.

Many fans speculate that while Zlatan and Naira Marley had music careers and fan bases to return to, Gucci may not have had the same foundation. Some wonder if he was simply left behind once the social media hype died down.
