These claims triggered many reactions from online users, including Naira Marley, who has reacted to the serious accusations.

He expressed his anger and hurt online, declaring that people would suffer before they die, in their graves, and in the afterlife.

The Marlian Music boss and singer is seemingly not finished sharing cryptic posts on his social media accounts.

The Soapy singer quoted a verse from the Holy Quran on the danger of fake news and the actions that should be taken.

In the quote, it was advised to verify news verification before harming innocent people unknowingly and later regretting one's actions.

His post read:

"O believers, if an evildoer brings you any news, verify "it' so you do not harm people unknowingly, becoming regretful for what you have done. (Quran 49:6)"

Media and entertainment lawyer, Barrister Justin Ige, has stated that celebrities involved in online conflicts that escalate into threats have legal grounds to seek protection under Nigerian law.

"Where threats are involved, as seen in conflicts like Iyabo Ojo and Naira Marley’s case, a formal petition to the police or complaint to regulatory authorities such as the National Human Rights Commission may be filed.”
