Air Peace to launch historic direct flights from Lagos to Brazil in December 2025

Air Peace brings relief to travellers

Air Peace launched the Lagos-London flight when the Nigerian aviation industry was grappling with high flight tickets due to trapped funds belonging to foreign airlines.

The foreign carriers had blocked their lower inventories from Nigerian travellers as they could not repatriate trapped funds.

The development led to high-cost flight tickets, with economy seats selling for as high as N3 million, forcing travellers to seek alternative routes.

Some Nigerian passengers broke their journey, travelling via neighbouring African countries to connect flights to the UK.

United Nigeria Airlines to launch UK flights

Amid the price slash by Air Peace, another Nigerian airline, United Nigeria Airlines, signalled plans to commence flights to the UK and the US.

The airline disclosed that it is awaiting its aircraft and has received clearance from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
